Privacy policy

Version of 18 July 2026

1. Data controller

The Association of Lawyers of the Geneva Legal Advice Service (“the Service”), 3, rue Michel-Chauvet, 1208 Geneva, Switzerland, is the controller of the personal data collected through www.permanence-juridique-geneve.ch. For any question: info@permanence-juridique-geneve.ch or +41 22 347 06 62.

2. Data we process

We only process the following data:

  • Contact form: full name, phone number, email, area of law, subject and the message you send us.
  • Technical data: standard connection logs kept by our hosting provider (IP address, date, page visited), for security purposes.
  • Analytics cookies: only if you accept them (see point 4).

3. Purposes and legal bases

Form data is used exclusively to answer your request and organise your consultation (pre-contractual steps and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). Audience statistics rely on your consent, which you may refuse or withdraw at any time without any consequence on your use of the site.

4. Cookies and analytics

The site sets no analytics cookie without your agreement. If you click “Accept” in the banner, we load Google Tag Manager, which activates Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads tracking (visit statistics and measurement of the firm’s advertising campaigns). Your choice is stored locally in your browser (key “pjg_consent”).

You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookies” link at the bottom of the page. If you decline, no Google service is loaded.

5. Recipients and hosting

The site and emails are hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva (Switzerland). If you accept cookies, analytics data is processed by Google, which may involve a transfer outside Switzerland and the EU, covered by the safeguards provided by Google (standard contractual clauses). We do not sell or pass on your data to any other third party.

6. Retention

Requests sent through the form are kept for as long as needed to handle them, and at most twelve months, unless they lead to the opening of a case file (in which case the retention rules applicable to lawyers’ mandates apply). Technical logs are kept by the host for a short period.

7. Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, object to its processing and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@permanence-juridique-geneve.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

8. Professional secrecy

Any information you entrust to the lawyers of the Service in the course of a consultation is additionally protected by the lawyer’s professional secrecy (art. 13 of the Swiss Lawyers Act), which offers broader protection than data protection law alone.
